Sunday School
St. James offers Sunday School at 9:45 am (from September to May) for young people from age 3 to 6th grade.

Sunday, March 4 is Positive Change Sunday. The children will be joyfully and noisily collecting loose change for the benefit of Robin’s Nest.

First Communion – An orientation session for parents and children — grade 3 and above — interested in preparing to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion will be held on Sunday, March 11th, at 8:30am.  Children instructed will receive their First Communion on Maundy Thursday, April 5th, at 7:30pm.  Please call the church office if you have any question!

Youth Forum
There is a Forum for Middle School and High School Youth at 9:45 am (from September to May).

Youth Activities

YOUTH GRADES 6-9! It is time to plan for the annualWashington,D.C. Servant trip.  This trip will be June 26-30.  See Diane Durham for any questions.

SENIOR YOUTH. Four young men are heading to New Orleans for the ELCA National Youth Gathering and they ask for your support through sponsorships.  To acknowledge your support, we will hold regular meetings during the education hour and share information about the trip and what it means to us.  If you have any questions, please contact Joel Johnston.

Souper Bowl of Caring -With 187 food items donated by the people of St. James on Sunday, February 5th, we are happy to report that we have received a grand total of 562 food items for the Pitman Pantry since the beginning of the playoffs on January 8th.  This compares to the 501 items received last year.  Thanks to all of you for your generous participation!

Adult Forum
Adults gather for lively conversation and study each Sunday (from September to May) at 9:45 am.

Bible Study – The Wednesday Morning Bible Study group will gather on Wednesday, February 15th, at 10:30.  Scripture Focus: Mark 9:2-9.  Welcome to everyone!
